iGRAM: IGNOU's One-Stop Online Grievance Redressal and Management Platform for Students
Explore - iGRAM IGNOU’s online platform for fast, transparent grievance redressal, letting students file, track, and resolve issues anytime, anywhere.
Overview
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)'s online grievance management system, iGRAM (IGNOU Grievance Redressal and Management), aspires to provide students with a faster, transparent, and more accessible way to resolve academic and administrative issues.
The platform, available on the IGNOU website, serves as a centralized hub where learners can lodge complaints and track their resolution status in real time. From admission delays and study material issues to examination queries and regional centre concerns, iGRAM aims to bridge the communication gap between students and university authorities.
iGRAM is part of IGNOU’s broader push toward digital governance and student-centric services.
Key features of iGRAM:
- 24/7 Online Access: Students can submit grievances anytime, anywhere.
- Tracking System: Each complaint receives a unique ticket number for status updates.
- Pan-India Coverage: Integrated with all regional centres for uniform grievance handling.
Student Feedback
Former and current students have reported that:
- Responsiveness: It has been reported to be much better at resolving issues than email and phone, as you at least get a response - however, useful or useless it may be.
- Redirection: If you choose the wrong options, usually you're at least guided to the correct option.
- Multiple Attempts: If you're not sure where to send your grievance and it is time-sensitive it may makes sense to submit multiple grievances.
- Re-raise Grievance: if you're dissatisfied with the response - track your grievance number and mark it as not satisfied with the reason - you don't need to generate a new grievance.
IMPORTANT TIP: Students report that sometimes the grievance handler asks you to wait and doesn't get back - in such a case, after a reasonable period of time passes - re-raise the old grievance again.
